Alan Quasha for social improvement

Today’s world has become progressively more material and concerned with money. Indeed, the American Dream that once meant the fight for democracy, equal rights, liberty and the inalienable right to freedom (as legislated in the world’s first and oldest constitution) has been transformed into something very different. Ask any of the potential immigrants or illegal aliens what they seek in America, and their answer will most probably coincide with what we see in commercial and financial America among investment managers, banker, financial analysts etc. – the desire to make money.

Of course many will paint this as the desire to earn a respectable living, but all too often this is quickly converted to the desire to amass as much money as possible. Amidst this endless and relentless pursuit of money, it is extremely refreshing to find successful business leaders who, while involved in amassing financial successes, take off time to invest in other pursuits. (This may be commended for there are many who despite their fortunes still maintain rigorous schedules focused solely on improving their bank balances and overall worth.)

Alan Quasha, chairman of Acerno and Quadrant Management Inc., is an example of someone whose time has immense financial value, yet he chooses to invest a great deal of his time and money in pursuits that offer him no financial return. Quasha, an investment advisor and analyst, serves as the Executive Director of the Brain Trauma Foundation. This position requires much of Quasha’s attention which must be diverted from his business activities. This involvement for the betterment of society – on a national and global level – serves as a beacon of light for the entire business community.

[The Brain Trauma Foundation, which Alan Quasha serves as its Exec. Director, has as its mission the saving and improvement of the lives of head injury patients, specifically those who suffered Traumatic brain injury (TBI), which includes any traumatic injury to the brain, also termed intracranial injury, or simply head injury, when physical trauma causes brain damage.]
